The Inventures
The Inventures is a collaborative effort between Parker Speirs (guitar) and Alex Rowe (electric bass) with drummers Parker Swenson on Outside The Bach’s and Symphonic Triage and DeSean Bryant on Classical Leftovers. Works from Bach, Chopin, Mendelssohn, Grieg, Beethoven, and others are explored in the setting of a fusion trio. The group has been met with excitement from various audiences as they blend modern improvisational techniques and sounds into these iconic works, re-imagining what music from centuries past can sound like in our day. In addition to their performance work, the group often gives workshops and masterclasses to students of all levels and ages. Their three releases to date are Outside The Bach’s (2019), Classical Leftovers (2022), and Symphonic Triage (2024).
